2011 Winner: Bradley Parker (Bagpipes)

At the time of the 2011 competition, Bradley was a 14-year-old bagpiper from Portavogie, and a pupil at Regent House School, Newtownards. He had been playing the pipes since he was five, and had an already established reputation as an outstanding piper. Among the victories behind him back then were at Ulster, All-Ireland and international levels and included a world record by winning the award for the best overall under-18 piper at the London Piping Society Championships (he achieved this three years in succession). He was at the time a pupil of John Wilson in Paisley and travels regularly to Scotland for his piping lessons. After his winning performance, Bradley was invited to play at Rotary Ireland’s Annual Conference in Dublin later that year. He wowed the audience at  the Spotlight on Rotary extravaganza, and he also piped-in to the conference the World President of Rotary, the President of Rotary in Britain & Ireland and other senior Rotarians.
